Feature in Time Out Magazine

On your next visit to London Zoo, be sure to make the most of it by grabbing a copy of London Zoo Illustrated, a wild hand-crafted silkscreen print. For artist David Robinson, what was originally a sketch of gorillas and occupied onlookers, turned into a mammoth nine-month drawing project of the entire zoo.

A close inspection of the detailed and accurate map will reveal that not only does it include every animal in the zoo, but hundreds of individually drawn spectators, each with their own personality and physical characteristics.

The London Zoo Illustrated map is available to buy with 25% of sales donated to the Zoological Society of London, but you will have to be quick to nab one of the 250 limited first edition copies.

For more information and to view other pieces of his work, visit davidryanrobinson.com.

'London Zoo Illustrated' will be available to view and purchase as a limited edition (only 250 copies) screen print from April 2013.

ZSL London Zoo

Further progress on my ZSL project. The final piece will come out square, so I’m about 2/3rds of the way finished. This section so far is A0 actual size. It’s pretty big!

I am still without internet in my new flat! But thought I would share my progress on the zoo! I’m over a quarter of the way done and it’s look pretty sweet! Very excited to get these screen prints produced in the new year!
